I tried some of the Flickr mashup applications and liked the one that lets you create a mosaic. This time I looked for Dia de los Muertos pictures. ![]()

It looked pretty cool, but unfortunately it didn’t save properly. Here you can see the first row and a half, anyway:
Santa brought my daughter a kitten for Christmas, so I have kittens on the brain. I searched for “orange kitten” in Flickr and soon found one that looks alot like our little Darwin. What a cutie, huh?
I’m working through a Learning 2.0 program my library system started last week. The 7 1/2 habits of lifelong learners was the first thing covered. The biggest challenge for me on the list is probably
Habit 6: Use technology to your advantage.
Obviously I’m not that big a technophobe if I’m blogging. But it does make you feel a little creeky when you don’t know how to use half the functions on your cell phone, printer/scanner/copier, video camera, etc. not to mention RSS feeds and the like.
My best excuse is a lack of time at work, and many other things I’d rather do after work than stare at a computer. But it’s probably time to get some of these monkeys off my back.
The habit that is easiest for me, I guess, is
Habit 4: Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner.
because there are plenty of other things I’ve learned while technology has been on the back burner.
Okay, so I’m not a teen. But I am a librarian, and I work with teens. In this blog I’ll talk about what it’s like to do a job few would dare.
